Last week we sat down to explain how our winning fees worked. In the interest of keeping all things transparent. We thought it best to formally publish the rules for our games. King of the Hill is our version of the iconic last-man standing game played in pubs across the country.
An exciting knockout game with jeopardy at every turn for every player, only those with the best knowledge and a dash of luck can make it to the end.
If you’ve never played, here’s how it works:
- It’s simple; pick one team you think will win each week, If your selection wins then you progress to the next week, lose or draw and you’re out.
- Once a selection is made, you have until one hour before kick off to change your mind. Choose carefully, once you’ve picked a team – you can’t have them again.
- You can’t pick the same team to win more than once during King of the Hill, unless the game progresses past 20 weeks and the remaining competitors have already picked every available team once.
- Should you forget to make your selection in any week, you will automatically be assigned a team based on alphabetical order. Once a team is automatically selected, you will not have the ability to change the selection.
- If any match involving a team that you have selected is postponed or cancelled, everyone who is still in the game will continue to the next round.
- BettyBetBet processes a 10% admin fee at the start of a private game and 15% at the start of a public game. The remaining % of entry fees are split between prize money and in private games a donation to the game creator’s chosen cause.
- Should two or more participants remain standing, and all are eliminated in the same week, the prize pot will be distributed equally among them.
- Likewise, if the competition has not have reached a conclusion by the end of the season, the King of the Hill prize will be distributed equally among the remaining participants.
- The game will take a break during weekends when the Premier League is affected by international fixtures or when a full list of 10 fixtures isn’t scheduled.
- Depending on what the creator of the game has set set for entries per user, a player has the ability to have more than one entries in each game, The user would have to pay the entry fee for each entry they desire to have
With BettyBetBet launching later on this year, you’ll soon be able to get involved in our games.
